I recently watched 'The Secret', a film about the Law of Attraction and getting what you want simply by thinking about it, for the second time. The movie talks about creating a dream wall to put the things you most desire onto. Apparently, the trick to this whole law of attraction is simply thinking about what you want on a regular basis. Seemed simple enough, but i didn't have the time or patience to get a bulletin board and find things in print that I wanted or find them online and print them out. ("eew, hardcopy.")
I also more recently built a new system and started with a clean slate in Linux (until I get my new HDDs, then it's frag on, of course.) But I started thinking, "How can I create a digital dream wall?" Well I first tried saving images I found online to my desktop, then rearranging and resizing them as I saw fit, but that soon became messy. As of now, I have settled on a much better system in which I created a dreamwall folder where I save said "dream pics" and created a gimp file the size of my desktop. now, whenever i find a new dream, i can save it to the folder, open the file, and update my dreamwall background.
