Well, I did everything I could to get it back up. My vote on Atypedigital policy is only 1/3 (it was 1/4th but we threw one of the admins out for sucking) and we finally agreed on a temporary solution to get php running again.
Our server system has been totally redesigned. Our OS isn't even linux anymore. It's xen which is sort of like a linux emulator so we can be more secure and have more separation of processes. If triton gets own'd they still don't own the computer, even as root. They could still do a lot of dammage but it's been mitigated and we are working on more security stuff.
The atypedigital security policy has always been "be prudent and we shouldn't get hacked" but after a slew of things went wrong and we got thretend with a lawsuit we've decided to develope a real security policy.
So, anyways, triton is back. Expect down times in the near future, but there hopefully will be nothing compared to the last one.
