So yes, I am now a proud owner of a legal copy of Fallout 3. I purchased it via Steam because I enjoy the 'bonus' of disc-less software; no worrying about scratches or loss of the disc (the down-side being that there is no such thing as an 'uninstall' with Steam, instead it's 'delete what you have a re-download the entire game again!' While, at 1+ Mb/s it doesn't take too long, it's still more of a pain-in-the-ass than if I had just purchased the disc(s)). What I DON'T expect is a complete lack of function... but this is what I've received.

Outload is coming back and it's doing it in style. User's are going to be able to still enjoy the community feeling of the old phpBB-style Outload (especially since all of the old posts and discussions are here), but in this era of Drupal the ability for our users to create their own content as standalone content. Feel like posting something and don't want others to be able to comment on it, fine, don't allow comments to be posted on your content. Perhaps you've just finished a book that you feel is worth sharing with your fellow Outloadies, write up a book review.

So, once upon a time I used to run Slackware Linux using the Fluxbox windows manager. It was an awesome setup and oh so fast and simple. Now, many years later I'm using Arch Linux and Gnome. No regrets either, Gnome is much more powerful and much more polished than it was in those days, but on my laptop (with a max resolution of 1024x768) Gnome is a bit cumbersome.

My posts on getting Dawn of War and it's subsequent expansions working under Wine have been... outdated? Perhaps superseded by a thinner, space-saving version (quite literally this HOW TO can shave at least 10 gigs off of your Dawn of War install folder and thus off your hard drive all together.) This is accomplished by JUST installing the newest edition of Dawn of War, Soulstorm. The game 'requires' that you have the previous games installed, but that didn't make much sense to me.
